The Monster in The HollowsÂ
by Andrew Peterson
We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the third Wingfeather Saga book since reading the first two last year.
I promise I could not love the sweet children in this story more.
They are beginning to occupy spots in our hearts next to Edmund and Lucy.
Their adventures are fantastical and dreamy, but their struggles with each other are the stuff of every day life.
Especially every day in the summer, when children are all at home under one roof.
We’ve only been out of school for a week and already I have found the sibling rivalry to be more than a little stifling.
Cole and I have both already devoured this book, anxious to know what happened next.
But now we are going to savor it aloud with the rest of the family and I’m hoping that in the midst of all the adventure, we will catch a little of the heart and soul of the story.
If you need a new series for the summer, we highly recommend The Wingfeather Saga!
Update: This series has now finished and you can read all four of the books and even watch a short film about the Wingfeather children! Super fun!
You got me hooked on these!!! I just finished the first two and this arrived today in the mail. Can’t wait until Sam is old enough, they are perfect. 🙂
Is this author the same as the Slugs, Bugs and Lullabies songwriter?
Yes it is! SO fun.
how sweet to find you and your dear family here. searching for a mint cookie recipe has never been so pleasant. my heart goes out to a Jesus-lovin-mama-with-dreads!
…have been waiting for this book to arrive on reserve at the library so i can wrap it up for my husband’s birthday (which was yesterday).
can’t wait to visit again, sister!
Thanks so much!!
