In The Pipeline

Y’all, I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t shed some tears this week at my mama’s departure. Saying goodbye is not my favorite.

But we had SUCH an amazing visit together. In addition to lots of fun around Aberdeen, we made a little trip to Berwick-Upon-Tweed and York.

Thankfully, I have friends (Hello, Carol & Rhonda!) arriving TODAY to head off on The Speyside Way with me this Sunday! I hope you’ll follow along!

Here are a few links I’ve loved lately!

We have some friends who have produced the most amazing video about the adoption of their daughter.

 A little whisky love.

My favorite song of the week for feeling sad.

This interview about faith, art and motherhood spoke to the deep places in my heart. I’m still copying bits into a notebook. Thanks Jerusalem and Sara!

A cancer survivor designs the cards she wished she had received. Brilliant.

I’m walking a portion of the Camino this summer and I came across this account. Beautiful.

My mom and I both love our FitBits so we laughed and laughed at David Sedaris talking about getting a little crazy with the steps! We can relate.

I hope you find a little adventure this weekend.

If you see my mama on Mother’s Day, be sure and give her a squeeze for me.

XO

Alison
