Y’all, this picture was taken ten years ago on a camping trip to Devil’s Den State Park.
How is that even possible?
For ten years we have been playing with our kids in the woods and streams of Arkansas’ State Parks.
Devil’s Den State Park is in Northwest Arkansas, and it is still one of my very favorites. I camped there with my family when I was a little girl.
The hiking and biking trails are excellent.
We love the big camping loop with the open field in the middle where you can play football or frisbee. And there are several darling cabins for if you want a step up from camping, or for if the weather becomes unbearable.
On this trip we actually moved into a cabin for our last night of camping because we were drenched from the rain.
And our kiddos were babies! Seriously.
My brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Whitney, were living in Fayetteville at the time, and they had just had their first baby, my nephew Wilson, so they came over for dinner one night. Wilson turned ten this week.
We’re going camping this weekend because the kids have a school break, and I can’t wait to get outside, sit by a campfire, walk in the woods and snuggle in my sleeping bag.
Happy Weekend! Cheers to blazing new trails!
I can not handle the cuteness!! LOVE
Right?? It hurts me!
cannot believe how little bitty they are all! And how much Ben looks like Craig in that first picture! And how Wilson looks like Wilson! lol. Hope your trip was big fun : )
Thanks Jerusalem! We had a great time even though it rained. It was just so nice to get away!!
[…] could visit Arkansas to go camping in a nearby state park, and then visit a world class museum on a day trip. That’s kind of amazing, […]
