In The Pipeline, Happy Valentine's Day, Chalkboard Art

Well, now that I’m back from a few days of poolside cocktails and sandy toes, Cape Verde seems like a dream.

But I’m excited to be bundling up for the weekend back here in Aberdeen. The kids have a few days off of school, so we’re heading into the woods tomorrow for Valentine’s Day. And tonight Taido and I are off to the city sans enfants. #HotDate

So while I go find my red corduroys, enjoy a few links:

I read a bunch of books while I was traveling last week. My favorites: The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry , which made me want to get back out for a long walk ASAP!

And The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out The Window and Disappeared, which my aunt recommended to me ages ago and I’m just now getting around to.

I laughed out loud and ugly cried on airplanes while reading. It’s a good thing the kids weren’t around to be horrified. 🙂 Now I need a new book to read, so do feel free to send your latest recs!

Recently I was asked to give some parenting advice to mothers of wee ones. Yikes. Here’s what I said.

I love this Edinburgh garden, so I am excited for this show. Even if it is for children.

I’m all the time trying to learn Scottish phrases.

York is on my list of British towns to visit this year.

A civil rights tour seems like a trip worth taking to me.

Marketing trends like this one fascinate me.

I love all things relating to being introverted.

This song is on repeat in my kitchen this week.

Obsesssed.

Yes to this reminder to keep being astounded by all the things!

I hope you get to wonder at something this weekend!

Ooh, and I hope you show someone some LOVE,

but (per the latest chalkboard art) also,

let me be the first to remind you that YOU ARE SO VERY LOVED!

XO
