Maggie, you have no idea how this encourages me!! It's so fun how God provides answers for us in so many crazy different ways. I am looking and listening for a lot of answers myself right now, so I love to hear how He is meeting you in your journey! Much love to you!

Your blog has answered my prayer today....I am one of those childrens' leaders in bsf who loves, loves, loves to work with and teach the kiddos. I am scheduled to teach again this coming year, but I have been feeling a tug to resign and volunteer at my church's women's study instead. I just didn''t know for sure what God's will was. So, I did a crazy thing....but first I prayed that God would answer my dilemma about doing bsf .... I went to Google and typed "Do I stay in bsf?" and found your blog. Upon reading it, I was knocked over with appreciation for God's answer to my prayer. Your beautiful words regarding bsf children's program have encouraged me to stay with bsf. It truly is valuable, and I truly do want to commit to another year of teaching those little ones. Thank you for your blog. You have been an instrument of God. And, by the way, you are very funny!!
My love to you,

I'm a new BSF-er and had the opportunity to volunteer twice this year in the 2-yr-old class. Yes, being with the adults is great, but the kiddos are a real treat. I love your thoughts on the quiet time part of the lesson. Made me a bit teary.

Our class recently started the 2-and-under program for babies aged 6 weeks to 2 years. My 10-month-old has been going with me for 4 months and we love it. I'm guessing that your children may be too old for that now (this is the first time I've read your posts), but just thought I'd let you know in case you want to ask about it in your class.

I just saw this post and BSF is almost over. I am a bsf teacher in the school program Monday nights. We love the volunteers. We need an extra set of hands and the other consideration is the safety factor. If someone is called out of the classroom there has to be two adults remaining in the classroon. This year i teach the 3rd level and the volunteers are always amazed at the level of teaching these 10-11 year olds comprehend. For all who are reading please consider next years class of Moses for adults and children.

Sharing the Bible together and studying with your child is a blessing beyond compare.

There is one more introduction night/day for adults, May 12th. or whatever day your class in on.

Thanks so much for your encouraging words. As a BSF children's leader. we absolutely cherish our volunteers. We couldn't do it w/o you. We are planting seeds that we know we may not see the harvest personally, but feel so honored to be used by our Lord in this way. Your personal love for those little ones is so obvious. You are a delight. Thanks, again for your faithful service.

i love that the puppet taps you too! what a wonderful way to reinforce His love to our little ones! you're absolutely right in your assertion that its not a waste, but an opportunity to mentor and disciple those we cherish- by building their little faiths and character one block tower at a time.
