We actually had a home offered to us, a guest house that belonged to someone else. But, I have rented apartments through several different websites since we moved to the UK. And there are still home exchange sites. I’ve heard good things about this one: https://www.sabbaticalhomes.com/

I totally loved reading about your walks in Switzerland and looking at your pictures. When I was a kid, my dad was stationed in Germany and we would take trips to different countries in Europe ever summer. One year, we went to Switzerland and I’ve never forgotten it. I was about 8 years old then. Now, I’m 50 but I’ve never forgotten it. Your kids will treasure the memory forever! But how did you do it? Was it some sort of house swap thing? Can I do it? I live in Las Vegas, Nevada in a nice home and would love to swap houses for a couple of weeks with somebody in Engleberg.
