It’s been almost a week since I was in Ireland, and I think I am almost caught up on laundry.
I’ve been going through pictures and notes, catching up on email and life here in Aberdeen.
But we’ve managed to sneak away for a hike in the woods, walks to the park, a night of live music and a birthday dinner party! Yay!
I’ve also read about 1000 things on the internet this week. It’s my favorite time sink/guilty pleasure for sures! How about you? Do you love to sit in bed with a laptop/iPad and jump from one link to the next? Then all of a sudden 3 hours of your life is down the drain and you’re all, Productivity? What is that again?
Yeah, me too. We should probably get outside today, eh? But when you get back from climbing that hill/crossing that stream, here’s a link roundup to save for later!

Lots of great travel videos were tweeted out this week during #ttot (Travel Talk On Twitter, a weekly Twitter chat about travel). This one was my favorite!
I heard so many great talks at the conference I attended in Dublin (TBEX) that it would be hard to choose a favorite, but I really like what Kash Bhattacharya, The Budget Traveller is doing with finding and highlighting less expensive places to stay in Europe that are a step up from traditional hostels. I wish I had read his post on Edinburgh before we went. (Next time!) I am new to the term luxury hostel, but I am super curious!
In fact, our family is going to give hosteling a go over our fall break in the Lake District! We’re super excited to see how we like it! Here’s a helpful article from BootsnAll about Hosteling With Families.

I have lots more to say about Ireland, but I toured the country with some fabulously talented other bloggers who have also written about our time there. I have set up a Pinterest board where I am pinning links to their posts and videos, so if you’re curious what others had to say, head over there and get lost in Ireland for a while! It’s a dreamy place, I promise! The kids and I have watched the video of the opening night at the Guinness Storehouse about 20 times.

Hi Alison, I followed Tina over to your blog and I’m lovin’ it. I’m also an American, now living in London. And I was also at TBEX. Wasn’t it fabulous?
