Thank you so much for sharing this with me! Am I the fellow writer you mentioned? That is such a compliment.

It’s funny, just this morning, we’re contemplating whether LIla should stay home from school so we can make strawberry shortcake and take a walk together. It’s the last day her dad is away, and it’s been just us. We’ve had some really lovely time together, too.

I can’t help but feel that reading this is a sign. (Or am I just making excuses?)

These photos remind me so much of the pictures of three year old Cole sitting by a stream throwing rocks. Happy places.
