Oh yes, yes it is. It is empty indeed, especially when you have one with a life force and influence like yours.
Mine used to say (during times of loss) ‘Well. Life is for the living’. And sip her scotch. I can still hear her saying that and I try to remember that the last thing she would want is for me to waste a second that could be spent enjoying the boys- lamenting her loss. Pretty sure yours would feel the same way. That said, I’m so sorry for the feelings you are having 🙁

And I am with you- ornaments from Christmas’s past are pretty fun to open. The boys and I had a good time decorating the tree this year (first year that I let them) and I think about down the road when we’re back and putting the ornaments we’ve collected here on a tree. How strange will that be?

i am the g’ma now. i see the love i had never know possible , through my grand-children’s eyes these days.

and so, i think of what you say . today, your pain is my pain, somehow.

and … i tell them now, that i will never , ever be far away from them.

i explain how i know this. i know this because shortly after my mom left her body,

she appeared before me. i pinched myself; looked away; looked back; and she was there, smiling still, with a message for me and my sisters.

so, i Know. …. impossible to question or deny ….

seen or unseen, …. your G’ma is there with you all. where else could she be?
