The Night Circus came highly recommended to me from a trusted source, one of Mary Polly’s former teachers. I thoroughly enjoyed it as the perfect Spring Break escape novel.
It is a cross between a magical night at the theater and The Time Traveler’s Wife.
Two parts wonder and one part story.
Fantastical imagery and memorable characters.
It is one of those books that I think it is best not to know much about before you read it.
However, the fact that I liked this book in spite of the fact that I don’t really care a thing for the circus should tell you something about how lovely it is.
I wish Le Cirque de Reves in this story really would come to town. If it did I would most certainly dress in all black and white with a red scarf to identify myself as a reveur.
